Call it a gift from heaven
Our love story was years in the making, and neither realized it. We met because Mel Sr insisted the bride attend his "surprise birthday party" in October 2017. The only seat available was next to this well-dressed, quiet man, who wasn't chatty at all (IYKYK). The bride can talk to anyone, and he gave brief answers. The bride had already met his twin brother and his bride two years earlier on the day of their wedding. After the passing of Mel Sr, they were again here, but the groom was still the same quiet and reserved from years previous. They sat and talked for hours one night. It had occurred to the bride that this must have been the man who would make the bride Mel Sr's daughter, which he had wanted for years. Very early on, the bride said she would marry the groom in a heartbeat, but would be okay if it didn't happen. Until Christmas Day 2023, the groom surprised the bride with a proposal and ring. He had told his family, some of the bride's family, and she was clueless for weeks. The fairytale that they both deserved was coming true. Life is sweeter when you give and receive the love you always prayed for. When you can be your authentic self, laugh, and cry with the support of your biggest fan. We may laugh, cry, or disagree, but we are a ROCK SOLID team. Driven by our love for each other and our children. We will always have each other's backs.

We have a cash bar because, let's be honest, we know our friends. The venue takes cash, credit, and debit cards. There is also an ATM on the premises. Please note that a photographer will be present, so if it won't stay up without help, it's probably best not to wear it. Flip-flops and sandals are acceptable during dancing, etc.
