Direction to the River Lodge at River Landing: -After the gate, continue on Paddlewheel Dr. for 1.5 miles; -At the traffic circle take the third exit onto Red Berry Dr for 0.6 miles; -Turn right onto River Woods Dr. for 0.9 miles; The River Lodge will be on the right.

The Inn is located just outside the entrance to the River Lodge Community. ----------- If you're in town on Friday night, head over to the Wild Boar after 7pm for a glimpse of the Bride and Groom for a quick nightcap prior to the wedding!

Wilmington International Airport-ILM
This airport is 5 minutes from Downtown Wilmington, but about 40 minutes from the venue. Renting a car would be recommended if you want to travel outside the venue this weekend.

Wrightsville Beach
We whole heartedly believe this is the most beautiful beach that NC has to offer. We recommend walking the north end to locate the mailbox and bringing a bathing suit!
Duplin Winery
Although we have never been, we have heard this hidden gem is quite nice to visit to do a wine tasting and is on our summer bucket list.
Mad Boar Restaurant & Pub
This is the closest place to the venue and hotel to eat or have a few beverages
River Landing Clubhouse
There are 2 golf courses in this community, both have been rated top 50 in NC
Battleship North Carolina
We think this is one of the coolest tours in the area, we love bringing our guests to visit this floating museum because it separates our city from most other east coast destinations
Wilmington Downtown Riverwalk
We spend a lot of our leisure time in beautiful downtown Wilmington. We always suggest a walk on the river walk for first time visitors, it shows them why we fell in love in the city
Tavern Law 1832
This is our go-to spot for a quick cocktail or to watch Sunday football. It is where we stopped for a drink on our first date. Extra points for those who can locate the engraved plaque with Matthews name
Floriana Wilmington
Matthew can be pretty specific when it comes to Italian cuisine, this is a wonderful place to get some quality Italian food. This is the place we celebrated his birthday as well as where we celebrated buying our home. Book reservations early to be able to sit on a balcony for gorgeous sunset views over the USS North Carolina
Rooster & The Crow
Great prices, great food, unimaginable portion size. It is located on the southern tip of the riverwalk and also has a little arcade, quaint shops as well outdoor area for live music
Castle Bay Golf Course
Arguably the best course in the area, Matthew has broken 100 only a few times and none of them were at this true southern links style course
Jimmy's
This institution of Wrightsville Beach is not only our absolute favorite dive bar- it is the best man's as well. Complete with dollar bills stapled to every surface, live music 365 days a year and also the reason we are all coming together on 11/9. This bar was used by Greg to convince Matthew to move to NC, along with Matthew convincing Kristen to give up her number to him 11/28/2020. Bonus points if you can get Cassius to give you kisses
P T's Olde Fashioned Grille
We think this is the best burger in Wilmington, besides what comes off our own grill. There are multiple locations throughout the city so check it out and see for yourself!

How far is the ceremony from the reception?
Answer
The ceremony will be held on the scenic banks of the Cape Fear river, with the reception being mere steps away.

What's the dress code?
Answer
Semi-Formal No need to go black tie, but please look nice and no jeans! *ladies please be aware when it comes to footwear, that this venue is not stiletto friendly. If you would like to wear heels, we suggest wedges or blocks**

What is the usual weather in November?
Answer
In coastal NC the weather can be slightly unpredictable directly after hurricane season. Typically we see temps in the high 70's to low 80's during the day with the evenings going down to the mid 50's. Please keep in mind that the venue is an open air structure that sits on the river, temps may vary

Should we book the hotel or an AirBnB?
Answer
We recommend booking at the hotel while using our hotel block, it will cut down on potential travel times and allows the opportunity to catch up with old friends or make new ones. There are other options using 3rd party sites, but from what we have seen they can be at minimum 15 minutes from the front gate of the venue
