Norfolk International Airport (ORF) is about 20 minutes from the Delta Hotel, Chic's Beach, and other great spots in Virginia Beach. This airport is easy to get through and has ample availability of Ubers and Lyfts.
Hotel
We do not have a block here, but this is a more budget-friendly hotel that's less than a mile from our venue!
Matron of Honor
Sister of the groom and soon-to-be sister-in-law of the bride, Jen Anderson has accepted the role of Matron of Honor at our wedding. Jen has the kindest heart and the strongest dedication towards family. Fun fact: Kris proposed in Jen and Jimbo's backyard with a lot of help from Jen and a little help from our sweet niece, Harper, and nephews, Grayson and Xander. Harper is the one who first lovingly dubbed Kris "Kruncle."
Maid of Honor
Sister of the groom and soon-to-be sister-in-law of the bride, Taylor Aubuchon, has graciously accepted the role of Maid of Honor for our wedding. Fun fact: Taylor is our dog-enthusiast who has adopted 2 wonderful pups with partner Zack. Freddie and Evie love to play with their cousins Daisy and Dune!
Bridesmaid
Jessica Orellana is one of the bride's oldest and most dear friends. After over two decades of friendship, spanning our middle school awkward phases, turning 21 and dancing at Rocky's and Stella's, to watching Jessica marry the love of her life and both finding their career paths, Jessica was an easy pick to stand up by Hannah's side on her wedding day. Fun fact: Jessica and Hannah tried to start a band in high school called Gypsy and the Bandit. The idea of being in a band sounded really cool until we realized Jessie's clarinet skills weren't enough to compensate for Hannah's lack of any musical talent.
Bridesmaid
College lab partners to lifelong friends, Melanie has been a mainstay in Hannah's go-to girls since her first semester at Grand Valley State University. From college spring breaks to watching Melanie finish grad school, become a wife and mother, Hannah has always looked up to Melanie as a dear friend and a positive influence on her life direction. Fun fact: Melanie's son, Rowan, tried playing Mr. Steal-Your-Girl to Kris this past summer when Kris and Hannah went up to Northern Michigan to visit Melanie and Kevin. Hannah isn't unsure that Rowan's efforts to swoon her didn't have a hand to play in Kris popping the question a few weeks later.
Bridesmaid
Peyton is the first friend Hannah made after her move to Virginia, which was destined to happen given that her fiance, Brennan, is Kris's best man. Hannah got extra lucky by befriending Peyton because she lights up the room and has been with Hannah for lots of her "firsts" in Virginia, including the first weekend away in Crozet, the first Tide's game, the first bougie espresso martini at the Cavalier, and my first Virginia girlfriend who isn't related to Kris. Fun fact: The trip Peyton, Brennan, Kris and Hannah went on to Crozet has a handful of funny stories involving the Airbnb Kris picked out (which was painfully deceiving based on its photos and listing online). Some of these stories aren't made to be posted online, but Hannah did have to talk Peyton out of catnapping one of the kittens that roamed the property that weekend.

Miles upon miles of great trails - a personal favorite of Daisy and Dune!
Especially if you're staying at the Delta Hotel, Hot Tuna is a great spot to go grab a bite to eat or a drink! It's walking distance from the hotel - right across the street. It has indoor and outdoor seating, great happy hour specials from 3-6pm daily, and live music on Friday night if you get into town early and are looking for something to do!
Sharks and sea turtles - need we say more?
Located right on the water with ample outdoor seating, you can't miss the views at the Back Deck. This is a great spot for a welcome cocktail!
While we love your children dearly. this is an adults only event.
Beach Chic: Elegant but relaxed coastal style - flowy dresses, linen suits, and breathable fabrics. Sand-friendly shoes encouraged! It will likely be hot, so feel free to dress accordingly. We free to slip your shoes off and carry them to your seat for the ceremony if you aren't comfortable walking in the sand with them (we will also have a few sets of helping hands if assistance is needed getting down the few steps to the beach or on the sand to the seats)
We're getting married at the Delta Hotels Virginia Beach Waterfront Suites and have a limited block of rooms reserved. There are a number of other hotels available at the Oceanfront, but those will require an Uber or a Lyft to get to the venue. The Travelodge by Wyndham Virgina Beach Bay Beach is a more budget-friendly hotel that is 0.7 miles down the same street as the Delta. There are many other hotel options available in Virginia Beach as well as vacation rentals if you're looking to turn this into a vacation!
We're so glad you asked! Most of the photo credit here, especially all of the engagement photos, goes to our dear friend, Wesley Sawyer. He's a very gifted photographer and videographer who also happened to take our very first photo together when we first met in Avon, Colorado.
