Why we're here!
Daniel and I fell in love while camping across the western United States, getting to know each other under the stars & trees, jumping into cold lakes, and sharing laughs around the campfire. We invite you to join us at our North Dakota Summer Camp Wedding, where you can do the same—connect with one other under the big sky! As we become a family in ceremony, we want to bring together the people we love most from all the different parts of our lives to celebrate and become a family too. We can’t wait to see you there.

Please arrive on Thursday, the day before the wedding ceremony (airport info below in the FAQ section). Most flights are not direct and delays aren't uncommon! There won't be any events on this day; Your only job is to arrive safely at the time of your choosing & get settled in!

Wedding Ceremony

Attire: Dress code is dressy-casual (think sun dresses, linen pants, button ups, jeans). Please wear grass-friendly shoes.
The Plan: Come witness our prairie ceremony under the big sky! It will be at our dear friend Harvey's property, The Gathering Place. There will be a few rows of chairs and plenty of standing room. There won't be food or drink served here so come hydrated :)
Reception
6:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Attire: Same as the wedding ceremony, but can't hurt to bring a light jacket as we will be outside!
The Plan: Come celebrate our marriage! About a 10 minute drive (7miles) from the ceremony, the reception/summer camp backyard dinner party will be held at the Dam Sweet ~ Daniel's Mom's Airbnb. We will have a large outdoor tent, dance floor, tables, chairs, and sitting areas. Our good friend, Jesse, will be dishing up his specialty; smoked chicken & ribs. Our lovely vendor, Kimmy, will be serving some easy sides. We will have a bar with kegs from the local brewery, wine, N/A options, and Bride & Groom cocktails.

Summer Camp Lake Hang!

Attire: Bring your favorite beach attire whether that be a speedo or a kaftan. We will provide some towels/blankets, but if you are traveling from nearby, please bring your own!
After brunch, we will set up at a beach on the lake for an afternoon of lounging, games, and swimming. You'll need to catch a ride on one of the pontoons to access the beach -- they will be running all afternoon from the pick-up location given at Brunch :) Food and drink is BYO. If you are needing rest or some solo time, no pressure to attend!
We're Doing it Backwards - The Rehearsal Dinner!

Question
How do I get to Pick City/Riverdale from the airport?
Answer
You will need to rent a car! Uber/Lyft isn't really a thing here, nor is public transportation. If you are flying solo & can't rent a car, or want to get paired up with other lone wolves to split a car, please reach out to Daniel or Kris and we'll help you get connected :)

What airport should I fly into?
Answer
There are three airport options to pick from. Flying into Bismarck is usually the best option - it's the biggest nearby city so you can get essentials before heading out to Riverdale/Pick City which is VERY rural. Just make sure you can rent a car from wherever you pick! Here are the airports distance from Riverdale, ND: Bismarck 1hr 15 min. Dickinson 2hr. Minot 1hr 20 min

Talk to me about food...
Answer
If you have any dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, etc.), or simply prefer veggies and salads, we highly recommend staying somewhere with a small kitchen and do some grocery shopping upon arrival. Pick City and Riverdale don’t have grocery stores. However, for those flying into Bismarck they have a Natural Grocers and Costco, and those flying into Dickinson, they have a couple of grocery stores. There is also a grocery store in Daniel's hometown, Hazen, that has lots of fruits, veg, and sometimes even tofu. In Pick City and Riverdale, you'll find several restaurants serving standard American fare, with some exceptions ~ Little's Bar & Grill has a seared ahi salad and is our favorite :) Please note that our wedding reception, brunch, and "rehearsal" dinner won’t have vegan or gluten-free options, so if that applies to you, feel free to bring a packed lunch, and we’ll be happy to store it in the cooler. Vegetarians will have plenty of sides to choose from, but if you want to make sure you’re getting enough protein, we recommend bringing something along as well!
