We first met on the campus of Alabama A and M University through a mutual friend. It was one of those simple introductions you do not think much about at the time, but life had plans we did not know about yet. A few years later, Cameron slid into the DMs, and from that moment on, everything just clicked. As we started spending time together, our connection grew in the most natural way. For Kahdejah, it was the little things that spoke the loudest: Cameron’s gentle spirit, his calm under pressure, his thoughtful words, and the effortless way he loved her son. It did not take long, just a few dates, for her to realize she had found her forever. Cameron likes to joke that he knew it was real “when I was spending all my money on dates,” but behind the laughter was something true. He did not hesitate to give his time, energy, and heart to someone who made life sweeter. On December 22, 2024, Cameron planned a proposal that Kahdejah never saw coming. At his brother’s holiday party, a violinist began playing “Best Part” by H.E.R. As Kahdejah walked into the room, she thought she was being called in simply to take a picture. Instead, she found Cameron dropping to one knee and asking her to be his forever. Completely shocked and full of joy, she said yes. We have grown to love each other in ways that feel both grounding and magical. Kahdejah loves Cameron’s attitude and the way he always chooses the positive side of life. Cameron loves her purity of heart and the depth of her love, something he feels every day. What began with a simple introduction has become a beautiful journey, playful, romantic, and full of intention. Now we are excited to continue writing our story as we step into forever together.
