Yes — we would love for our guests to dress in formal cocktail attire for our wedding celebration. We encourage elegant, elevated looks such as cocktail dresses, formal jumpsuits, suits, and dress shirts with ties. To help keep the spotlight on the bride, we kindly ask guests to refrain from wearing white, ivory, cream, off-white, or similar shades. We kindly ask that our ceremony be an unplugged experience. Please refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony and allow our professional photographers to capture these special moments. We invite you to be fully present with us during the ceremony, and we promise to share plenty of beautiful photos afterward. Once the reception begins, we would love for you to take photos, videos, and celebrate alongside us!

Will the Ceremony/Reception be Indoors or Outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be held outdoors. Please note that Virginia weather can be unpredictable, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or shawl in case it turns cooler in the evening. In the event of rain or storms, the ceremony and reception will be moved indoors for everyone’s comfort and safety.
