We met in a penthouse at a Burner-adjacent party in the West End, high above English Bay, surrounded by music, costumes, and the kind of people who believe in magic and late-night philosophy. It took six more months, a few casual run-ins, and just the right dose of timing for that spark to catch. But when it did, it turned into something steady and deep. The kind of connection that feels equal parts familiar and brand new. Like coming home and heading somewhere exciting, all at once. Since then, we’ve built a life full of laughter, shared dreams, and more “I think I’ve figured it out” conversations than we can count. This wedding is a celebration of all the tiny moments and choices that led us to each other - and to the life we're continuing to build, together. See photo below. This was the moment. (If you know, you were there from the beginning.)
10:00 am - 1:00 pm
If you are driving, you can park your car at in front of the Teahouse restaurant in Stanley Park - Ferguson Point is directly across from the restaurant:)
We don't like the idea of having strict rules at our wedding - That said, if you could wear an elements of whatever suits your interpretation of Cowboys and Unicorns (i.e., Western and Fantasy), we would really appreciate it! We're picturing guests wearing semi-formal outfits with an element of the theme (not full cosplay! That's Kohei 😛 ). When in doubt, you can always contact one of us (or just wear what feels right for you).
Our ceremony will take place at Ferguson Point in Stanley Park (across from the Teahouse Restaurant). You can park your car at the parking spot right by the restaurant (also at the parking lot for the Third Beach). If you don't want to worry about finding a parking spot, we recommend using Uber or Lyft :)
We are asking our guests to arrive between 10:00 and 10:30 am. We want you to be there definitely before 10:30am, as we are starting some pre-ceremony activities at 10:30 am:)
Due to the permit we obtained from the City, we cannot have any stations to provide food and beverages. For this reason, we kindly ask you to take care of your own needs by bringing your own snack or drinks (no alcohol as the City does not allow it, thank you!). Since it will be an outdoor space, we also recommend that you bring a rain jacket or an umbrella if you think it will rain.
After the ceremony, we will talk and take photos with guests. Eventually, we will head into the Teahouse and have lunch with those who are from out of town. Another event for those who live here will be the following Saturday, June 21.
