FAQs

Question

What type of registry are you doing?

Answer

We are not having a traditional registry. Instead, we have created a home improvement fund on this website. Contributions may be made via check or cash and mailed to our address or brought to the wedding. A card box will be available, and we're happy to provide our address upon request!

Question

When should all RSVP be done?

Answer

Our save-the-dates requested RSVPs by January 10th. While we will continue to accept through March 31st, please note that as we finalize plans closer to the wedding date, plus ones and children may be limited due to venue capacity. If needed, you may contact either Carter or Kishara directly to complete your RSVP.

Question

Are plus one and children allowed?

Answer

yes! Plus ones and children are welcome as long as they are included in your RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Have you reserved blocks or rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

We did not reserve hotel blocks for the wedding. However, we have listed a few options located very close to the venue for your convenience. You are also welcome to explore accommodations in Montrose, Grand Junction, Cedaredge, or Delta. For those interested in the mountain stay, there are cabin rental options available on the Grand Mesa as well. Additionally, there will be a limited Airbnb available on the venue property for the Friday and Saturday night of the wedding weekend. This will initially be offered to select guests, and if additional space becomes available, we will extend it to others. If you are interested, please feel free to reach out to us, and we can add you to a waitlist if needed.

Question

Dress code :)

Answer

We will be aiming for a business casual dress code. Guests are welcome to wear shades of green, tan, gold, or purple (like lilac or lavender), though any business casual attire is perfectly acceptable. As this is a wedding, we kindly ask you to avoid wearing any white if possible.

Question

Parking and wheelchair/walker accessible at the venue?

Answer

The venue offers plenty of parking and is wheelchair accessible. While the parking lot is gravel, the venue itself features grass and concrete surfaces with ample space to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers. If you require any additional assistance or accommodations, please let us know prior to the event and we will be happy to help.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding will be a combination of both indoor and outdoor events. The ceremony will take place outdoors, followed by an indoor reception at the same location-no additional travel required. Please keep in mind that the ceremony will be held during the summer months, so we recommend bringing a fan or a light-colored (white or green) umbrella for sun protection. Shaded areas will be available for guests while waiting for the ceremony to begin.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be no open bar. However, a cash bar will be available during the reception for guests to purchase beverages.

Question

Are outside drinks allowed at the venue or onsite Airbnb? Is smoking permitted?

Answer

Outside alcohol is not permitted on the venue property. While you can enjoy outside drinks inside the Airbnb, these cannot be brought into the venue, nor can venue alcohol be taken to the Airbnb. A bar will be available during the event, as previously noted. We appreciate your cooperation with our venue's policy. Smoking and vaping are restricted to a clearly marked designated outdoor area. Marijuana is strictly prohibited on the entire venue property. We kindly ask that all guests dispose of cigarette butts and related materials in the provided receptacles.

Question

Ceremony time and reception.....photos and cocktail time

Answer

As of now, the ceremony is scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM on Jully 11th, We kindly ask guests to arrive 20-30 minutes early to allow time to find seating and enjoy the venue and surrounding views. Following the ceremony, there will be a cocktail lasting at most 45 minutes, giving guests time to socialize, enjoy drinks and food, and relax while the newlyweds take a few moments together to soak in the day. After cocktail hour, the father-daughter dance and mother-son dance will take place. Along with the bride and groom's first dance! Following the dances, there will be approximately 30 minutes of photos. During this time, Carter and Kishara will spend about 10 minutes taking photos outside with family and friends, followed by 10-15 minutes visiting tables for a group selfie. We kindly ask that you please be mindful of the couple's time throughout the evening so they can enjoy as much time together as possible. We truly appreciate everyone's understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Taking photos/posting on social media...

Answer

We kindly ask that our ceremony be an unplugged ceremony. Please refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony, as a professional photographer will be present to capture every moment. A reminder to silence phones and put them away will also be announced prior to the ceremony. We also kindly ask that guests do not post photos or videos of us on social media until we have had the chance to do so ourselves. This includes stories and any other form of posting. Outside the ceremony, guests are more than welcome to take photos throughout the evening. We truly appreciate your understanding and respect for our wishes as we enjoy this special day.

Question

What is on the menu?

Answer

We are planning a BBQ-inspired dinner with a selection of delicious, crowd-favorite dishes. For dessert, there will be a s’mores bar with everything you need to create your perfect combination.
