We are so excited to celebrate with you! Please RSVP by May 1st, 2025!
We met at Hume Lake Christian Camps in 2018 while attending Joshua Wilderness Institute, a discipleship program there. We quickly became good friends!
Kyle: The way she so fervently believed that Jesus Christ had both grace for me and power to transform me. Kimmy: The way he deeply cared about others and intentionally listened to those around him. He pursued people like Christ!
We had our first date at Hume Lake! We went paddleboarding, and he bought me lunch, which he paid for by working on his off day to earn enough money. Then, we went hammocking at sunset, where he asked me to be his girlfriend!
Our best date so far has been our One-Year Anniversary: An Upper Yosemite Falls Hike Gone Wrong! We were severely underprepared and overly ambitious. Consisting of one 40oz water bottle shared between us, 8 hours of hiking, vomiting, aching bones, tears, and the night sky. It was one for the books!
At a clifftop overlooking the ocean in Malibu, Kyle expressed his love for me and recited a poem by C.S. Lewis that reflects love's vulnerability. This poem has become a meaningful reminder of how love and marriage can be both terrifying and beautiful. He then knelt and proposed, asking me to be his wife, his Mrs. Davis. In our proposal story, he showed me again and again how he was ready for a future with me. Through his actions, he showed patience and confidence in our future. Soooooo, long story short, he proposed, and I said yes! And it has been the best decision I have made in my walk with Christ.
It's our dating anniversary! We want the date to hold even deeper weight, though, not only as the date we chose to enter into a dating relationship but now as the date we choose to spend the rest of our lives together.
