Travel Note
We recommend downtown Columbia rentals (VRBO/AirBnb) for walkability to the venue. There aren’t many good hotels in Columbia. Franklin, TN and Spring Hill, TN are also nearby family-friendly places to stay with many hotels and rentals to choose from. Both places are convenient to Nashville and the venue in Columbia.
Travel Note
If you stay outside of downtown Columbia, we recommend a rental car for the weekend. Public transit and Uber/Lyft can be slow and unreliable in Columbia, Spring Hill, and Franklin.
Hotel
This hotel is in our hometown and is walkable to several restaurants and shops.
Hotel
Newly built hotel in our neighborhood! It is about 20 minutes from the venue.
Spend a whole afternoon in this converted historic factory! We HIGHLY recommend Five Daughters Bakery and Hattie B’s! There are lots of local shops and tons of things to do at The Factory. This is the place to grab non-cheesy souvenirs and Tennessee-made items. Downtown Franklin is about a mile away and another great area to walk around, shop, and eat!
Learn Civil War history at Rippa Villa, Carnton Plantation, and Carter House. Visit Eastern Flank Park while at Carnton for a self guided walk through the battlefield.
Nashville’s botanical garden at a historic estate. There’s also an art museum and events.
Great to see a show or do the tour. Lots of music history here at the “Mother Church of Country Music”.
Great place to explore the food of Nashville all in one spot downtown.
Maybe the best cocktails in Nashville. It’s a speakeasy vibe with a hidden entrance to descend into what was a former boiler room. Look for the door in the golden triangle down the alley.
THE breakfast spot of Nashville. Get the biscuits and gravy, trust us.
Great hiking and wildlife just outside Nashville.
Paddle-board on Percy Priest Lake
Jack Daniel’s Distillery is about an hour from Nashville/Franklin, but worth the drive! Grab lunch or dinner in downtown Lynchburg while you’re there! Be sure to book your distillery tour in advance.
Southern Tre Steakhouse event rooms are upstairs and accessible through the restaurant’s courtyard patio. Go through the wrought iron gate under the brick arches and then look for the red staircase. Please note that there is no elevator. If you have issues finding the Magnolia room, the restaurant hostess can point you in the right direction.
Street parking is available surrounding the downtown Columbia square. There is also a public parking lot at the corner of E 7th St and Woodland St.
Dressy casual, like for a nice dinner out. Dresses, slacks, etc.

Nuts & Peanuts - no peanuts or peanut butter are planned on our menu or in our desserts. There are macadamia nuts in some cookies and there are pecans topping the whipped sweet potatoes. The store-bought cookies do contain a cross-contamination warning. Shellfish - the coordinator has advised that all fried foods may be contaminated with shellfish. During cocktail hour, celery and buffalo chicken dip are not fried. All of the dinner entrees are grilled. Please speak with restaurant staff if you have additional questions or concerns.
