Not on an app or on Match.com, but aptly we matched on Teams. That's right, we met on a videoconference call at work on September 19, 2022. We spent the next several months working together on proposals (not THAT kind of proposal... yet). The next February, after one fateful work trip when Kimberly visited the team in Portland, we both knew there was more chemistry between us than the thermodynamic services we were selling to clients. Julian drove up to Seattle on March 19, 2023 for our first date, set to the live soulful sounds of Tank & the Bangas at Neumos, which Kimberly would like you to know was all her idea. We dove head-first into our mid-distance relationship filled with world travels, arts and culture, delicious food and wine, and more video calls than you could imagine. Planes, trains, and automobiles tethered us until September of 2024 when Kimberly, Frank, and Penny packed up for a new chapter in Portland. Julian wasted little time in crafting his most meaningful sales pitch. On October 28, he commandeered his surprise birthday trip to NYC to deliver a proposal for the ages. And the rest is future. It's been a lot so far, but never too much. With us, too much is never enough.
