How We Met
At the end of COVID-19 lockdown, a new love story began. Kevin and Jiyoon met through Hinge, a dating app that was meant to be deleted. Jiyoon was still living in Virginia with her parents due to COVID-19 lockdown wondering where to move next. A month-long stay in New York while dog sitting for a friend was extended after going on a few dates with Kevin. They wanted to see how their relationship developed.
Moving in together
The next right thing to do was to try and live together. It's been 2 wonderful years of chores, snores, and fun.
Not Your Typical Engagement
First came the engagement, then came the proposal. We didn't really go by the books exactly in terms of timeline. We had an active conversation around marriage and our future for about six months before we decided to make it happen. Our parents and family had an official engagement dinner in March 2025. The planning began, Jiyoon collaborated closely with her good friend Aeri on the ring. Kevin gave the ring to Jiyoon in November.

How to get to the venue without a car.
Answer
You can take MTA's 7 train to Main Street Station or the LIRR to Belle Rose Station or Little Neck Station and take an Uber to the venue. We'll arrange a van service if you are looking to join our after party.
