Celebrate with us

We are excited to announce that after 11 years of living in sin we have decided to officially tie the knot! We would love your presence celebrating our commitment to one another for a get down in the mountains! Our destination wedding will take place at The Silver Gate Lodge Silver Gate, Montana August, 29, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. A destination adventure like this comes with a significant cost, and we understand if you're unable to join us. If that's the case, we look forward to celebrating with you at smaller local get togethers - details forthcoming. If you plan to attend our celebration, please be sure to look through this website as well as all the FAQs for more information.

Travel and Lodging

The Wedding Website of Kenny Senn-Cadotte and Josh Isbell
Silver Gate is a tiny mountain town just one mile from Yellowstone’s Northeast Entrance in Montana. It offers peace, solitude, and stunning natural beauty — but with very limited services due to its remote location. The closest full grocery store or major town is about 3.5 hours away, so we strongly recommend stocking up on food and essentials before you arrive. The local general store and gas station carry only a few basics. You’ll also need your own vehicle — there’s no public transportation, no Uber/Lyft, and limited cell service. Travel will likely be a long day, no matter where you're coming from, but once you arrive, you’ll be able to relax and settle into the magic of the mountains. We promise, it’s worth the trip. When to Arrive We recommend arriving by Thursday, especially if you're flying in, so you have time to settle in and acclimate before the wedding on Saturday.

What to do (besides celebrate us!)

Outside of the big day (Saturday, 8/29), the main entertainment around Silver Gate is simple: get the F* outside. Seriously — this place is all about the outdoors. You can explore Yellowstone, go hiking or fishing, join a guided wildlife tour, rent UTVs and explore the Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains, ride horses, or just chill by a fire or creek with friends and a beverage in hand. If you’re more into low-key vibes, that’s great too. There are two beautiful waterfalls within a mile of the lodge, and plenty of peaceful places to stroll, relax, and enjoy the quiet. We’re hoping to organize a couple of optional group adventures, but for the most part, it’s a choose-your-own-adventure kind of weekend. No pressure, no schedule — just enjoy this incredible place however you like. Interested in booking activities? Check out the resources below, or just ask Chris when you book your lodging — he’ll point you in the right direction.

FAQs

Know before you go!
Question

Is there Wifi/Cell service?

Answer

It is very important to know there is very limited service or WIFI in the valley overall, which is part of the allure for us. Most housing options do not have guaranteed phone service or internet. We get this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, so please keep this in mind when making your decisions. This is not resort living, it is cozy and comfortable but far from all inclusive stays on the beach.

Question

How should I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

You should look at the travel and lodging page. You can fly into Bozeman, MT or Cody, WY. Car rentals are available at each of these locations. Limited shuttling will be available from Cody, WY, and prearranged with the couple ahead of your arrival. Summer arrival: During the summer months, Silver Gate is accessible via Chief Joseph Scenic Highway from Cody, WY, or over the Beartooth Pass Hwy 212 from Red Lodge and Billings, MT. Additionally, Silver Gate can be accessed through the park via Lamar Valley. Carpool! Share a car rental with a friend or family member!

Question

Is this like a 4 star stay at a beach resort?

Answer

Nope! We are in the mountains. You should come prepared to disconnect and enjoy the people you're with. If you are flying in, you should stop in Cody or Bozeman for food and essentials as there isn't Doordash up in this neck of the woods.

Question

How do I book my accommodation?

Answer

Please call Chris Conway at Silver Gate Lodge, +1 (406) 640-4908

Question

I forgot something, is there a General Store nearby?

Answer

The General Store at the Silver Gate Lodging offers basic sundries, souvenirs, and plenty of info. WIFI and cell service at this location is your best bet.

Question

Should we give a gift?

Answer

Your presence is your present. If you do choose to give to the couple, there are cash options on the registry page.

Question

Are there restaurants or bars nearby?

Answer

There are a select few venues available in nearby Cooke City, a Royal Wulff Tavern. Details to follow for confirmed guests.

Question

Should I be worried about wildlife?

Answer

Being right outside Yellowstone National Park is amazing! Also, all the animals and awesomeness that is in the park does wander beyond the park. It’s not uncommon to see bears, moose, and elk right from the property, as well as a 20 minute drive to the best wolf watching Yellowstone has to offer. . It is important to be versed in how to be respectful and safe while enjoying this space. Being Bear Aware is essential, don’t leave any hotdogs on the grill at night, while also keeping 100 yards away from all predators and 50 yards away from all non-predators in the area.

Question

What should I pack to wear?

Answer

Weather in this area can be finicky, it is best to be prepared for varied weather conditions. It can range from a gorgeous 75 degrees to sleet or snow. Yes, snow in August. So keep this in mind when packing. Varied layers will be your friend. We will be packing sunscreen, shorts, a tank top, winter jacket, wool socks and a hat, and an outfit to boogie down in... for example.

Question

I'm cool with limited connection and wifi but I might need it at some point. Can I connect?

Answer

We get it. We live in a fully connected world. There is a limited service and WIFI available at the General Store on the Silver Gate property. There is no WIFI service in the cabins or other rooms on the property.

Question

Is camping allowed on the property?

Answer

Camping is not allowed on the property.

Question

Where is the nearest big city?

Answer

Cody, WY or Bozeman, MT
