How We Met
Alex and Lindsay both worked at an assisted living facility, however, they never crossed paths. One day at work, Alex saw Lindsay walk in the door and insisted he needed to introduce himself. He found out they had a mutual friend (Karen). Karen invited Alex to a family cookout that she was hosting. That night Alex and Lindsay met officially for the first time, and that's when their love story started.. Alex and Lindsay's first date was at a local Mexican restaurant in Iowa City, where Lindsay introduced Alex to his very first margarita. Alex soon asked Lindsay to be his girlfriend, on July 26, 2019. They have now been dating for 4 1/2 years! While dating the couple has lived in Iowa, Wisconsin and now Arizona…Who knows what is next…
Our Engagement Story
The couple went on a trip overseas visiting Barcelona, Paris, Rome, and Florence. When they landed in Paris, Alex told Lindsay he made a reservation at a cute brunch place and picked out an outfit for her to wear. They got ready and walked to brunch, but on the way, Alex said he wanted to take photos in front of the Eiffel Tower. He seemed nervous, but Lindsay didn't know why... Soon he got down on one knee and asked her if she would spend the rest of her life with him. She of course said "Yes!" Kudos to Alex because he hired a photographer and videographer who captured the beautiful moment for the couple. And apparently had been planning the magical moment for months!

Is there a dress code?

The dress code is formal attire Women examples: Little black dresses, cocktail dresses, or midi-length evening gowns. Men examples: Black suit or a Tux and tie or bow tie We invite and encourage you to participate in our wedding theme by dressing in our color palette of sage green and black.

When should I RSVP by?
Answer
We kindly ask that you RSVP by July 28, 2024 so we can have an accurate headcount

Can I bring a date?
Answer
We are so excited to celebrate our wedding day with our closest friends and family. Please refer to your wedding invitation to see if it says “and guest,” then yes you can bring a date, if not it is just the names on the invitation who are invited due to the venue's size. Thank you for understanding

Are kids welcome?
Answer
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event we appreciate you making arrangements so you can celebrate with us. However, we recognize that some of you will be traveling with your kids, so please know they are welcome at the Friday welcome party!

Yes, there will be a shuttle from the Arizona Grand Resort to the wedding venue. The time the shuttle will be leaving to the venue will be provided closer to the wedding day

Your presence at our wedding is the only present we need. However, if you further wish to gift us we have created an online registry that is linked in the tab at the top of the page called ‘Registry’

What will the weather be like this time of year?
Answer
Arizona is a warmer state, but late in September it will be cooling down a bit. The temperature will be around 80/90 degrees Fahrenheit, but remember it is a dry heat and the wedding is in the evening :)

The ceremony and reception will be at the same location at the Secret Garden in Phoenix, Arizona
