Flight
We highly recommend flying into Cancún International Airport (CUN), as it is the closest and most convenient airport to Playa del Carmen. CUN offers the widest selection of nonstop flights from the U.S. and Canada, making it easy to find schedules that work for you. Once you land, it’s about a 45-minute drive south along the coast to Mahekal Beach Resort. Once you have booked your airline tickets, you can contact Ken at JK Dream Vacations for assistance on booking your transportation.
Yes, it is generally safe to visit Playa del Carmen, though the U.S. State Department advises increased caution due to the possibility of crime, with a Level 2 advisory. While most violent crime does not target tourists, and resorts are generally secure, petty crime and scams can occur, so it is important to be aware of your surroundings, keep valuables hidden, and avoid excessive alcohol or drug use, especially outside of tourist areas.

We recommend booking your private transportation to and from the airport with Ken from Dream Vacations. Once you book your flights, please send Ken an email at k.hinkle@dreamvacations.com with your flight information. He will provide you quote on a private roundtrip transfer between airport and resort.
Yes! A valid passport is required for all U.S. and international travelers entering Mexico. Please double-check your expiration date to ensure it is valid for at least 6 months after travel.
Our wedding festivities will take place on Friday, May 15th and our wedding block is from May 14–17, 2026 (3-night minimum). Want a longer trip? Our group rate extends May 12–20, 2026 (arrive early or stay late).
We recommend booking your flights directly with your favorite airline. This ensures you’ll receive the best available pricing and loyalty perks, plus you’ll have full control of your reservation if you need to make any changes to your travel plans.
The Mahekal All-Inclusive Plan covers all meals, non-alcoholic beverages, and a selection of domestic alcoholic drinks (beer, wine, and house cocktails).
Yes! Kids are welcome. Families can enjoy the resort together, and for the ceremony and reception, on-site babysitting services will be available for those who wish to book care. This way, parents can relax and enjoy the party while knowing the little ones are in good hands.
Yes, private babysitting is available for an extra fee.
Dress code at the resort’s restaurants is Resort Casual. For Gentlemen: Collared shirts, sport shirts, khakis, slacks, jeans, or dress shorts. For Ladies: Dresses, skirts, capris, jeans, or dress shorts. No swimwear, flip flops, or tank tops are allowed in restaurants.
Yes, WiFi is complimentary in guest rooms and throughout most resort areas.
For a carefree, unplugged getaway, the rooms do not include televisions. All rooms are equipped with individual mini-split A/C units plus ceiling fans to keep you cool and comfortable. For our TV lovers—don’t worry! Pack your iPad, laptop, or favorite device if you’d like to stream or get your fix in. 📺
Our wedding will take place outside, so we suggest light, breathable fabrics and comfortable shoes (wedges or sandals work best in the sand). We’re calling it Elevated Beach Attire — breezy, colorful, and ready to dance under the stars. Think flowing dresses, linen pants, fun prints, sandals or flip-flops that can handle the sand. Leave the everyday behind and bring your festive best — polished shirts, light fabrics, and outfits made for oceanside fun.
All of our events, including the ceremony, will be outdoors. Please plan for tropical weather (sunshine by day, breezy evenings).
No additional transportation is needed — all events will take place at Mahekal Beach Resort.
We love your little ones, but for the wedding and reception we’d love for you to enjoy the night responsibility-free. If you’re able, consider a babysitter so you can sip, dance, and celebrate to the fullest!
Yes! Please use #KendallAndAndySaySi so we can see and share all your memories.
We highly recommend travel insurance for peace of mind. It can help cover unexpected situations such as trip delays, cancellations, or medical needs while abroad. Our travel advisor can provide details on coverage options.
Expect warm, tropical weather — daytime highs around 85°F and balmy evenings. Occasional showers are possible, so light layers and breathable fabrics are ideal.
Yes! Playa del Carmen is perfectly located for day trips to cenotes, Mayan ruins, eco-parks like Xcaret, or ferry rides to Cozumel. Our travel advisor can help arrange excursions.
Our travel advisors, Ken Hinkle & John Walker at Dream Vacations, are coordinating our group with the hotel! You can reach them at 404-836-0461 or email at k.hinkle@dreamvacations.com. You should always contact them and not the hotel directly.
We decided not to register. Your presence is the best gift, wherever you’re able to celebrate with us. If you can’t make it and still want to do something, the best gift you could give is time together. What matters most to us is celebrating life and making memories with family and friends.
