Proposal Backstory! The past few months prior to this day, Erica had been landing quite a few modeling/acting/videoshoot gigs and I thought I'd use that to my advantage. I got in contact with the photographer (Henry) who did her first set of headshots for her resume. After a couple of phone calls and texts, we eventually came up with the ideas for staging a commercial shoot for "Sonoma Wine." 2 weeks before the shoot, Henry sent out the request for her to be a part of this opportunity and she thinks she’s helping him out by accepting! She was so excited to tell me this news, but little did she know, I was in on it. Henry kept me included in all of their communication without her even knowing. Heck, I even picked out her outfit...this was too easy! I, then, reached out to her mom and my family to have them fly in to surprise her and be a part of the shoot as well. Now, a week prior to the staged shoot, Erica had a trip back to Michigan planned with a friend of hers. The timing couldn't have been anymore perfect, because all the family was arriving while she was still out of town! Fast forward to July 9th-day of the proposal-Henry arrived to pick Erica up at the exact timing I needed him to. Everything was working out perfectly, until... I couldn't find my keys. And I just had this gut wrenching feeling that Erica took my keys with her. I had no time to waste, so I called her and guess who had my keys in her purse, mistakenly! Ahh! I was seriously freaking out lol Luckily, my brothers figured out a plan to get us all there in enough time. Well.. I’Il shut up now, just watch! -Kendal Carter
