FAQs

If you have any other questions, please reach out to Ken or Taryn. We would like to make your experience as smooth as possible.
Question

Where is the venue?

Answer

We will be hosting our wedding at the Kaneohe Yacht Club, located at 44-503 Kaneohe Bay Dr, Kaneohe, HI 96744.

Question

Will there be transportation?

Answer

We are in the process of arranging a shuttle and will share more details soon. If you are choosing a ride share option, please be sure to schedule at least 24 hours in advance. Ubers/Lyfts can be unreliable and are not always available. For those driving to the event, be aware that the venue does not provide parking and street parking along Kaneohe Bay Drive is limited. Please plan accordingly.

Question

When can guests arrive to the venue?

Answer

Guests are welcome to arrive between 3:30pm and 4:00pm. Ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm so please plan to be at the venue at least 30 minutes prior. This will allow for ample time to sign in, enjoy a drink, and mingle before the start of the ceremony.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We recommend our guests dress in Aloha Formal. Think fun prints, aloha shirts, and breezy dresses. Shorts and slippers are welcome but please be mindful. We ask that you consider polished materials such as khaki, linen, and leather. For those wearing heels, note that there is a large sloping grassy area and docks to wander -- wedges, block heels, or sandals will serve you best.

Question

Is the ceremony open to all?

Answer

Yes! We're looking forward to sharing this event with all of our beloved guests.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Please check your invite for your plus ones.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only event.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

October typically brings warm and pleasant weather, with daily highs around 80º and nighttime lows around 75º. We will provide hand fans to alleviate the heat.

Question

Can we ship gifts?

Answer

Yes! There's no need to burden yourself with cumbersome packages during your travels. Please reach out to either Ken or Taryn for our shipping address.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Many visitors often choose to stay in Waikiki. Please be aware that the venue is approximately a 30 minute drive to the Kaneohe Yacht Club. See transportation section for further details. Due to short-term rental laws, Airbnb and VRBO options are very limited.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

We will host an open bar until a set limit is reached. After that, it will become a cash bar. Please bring a form of payment (cash or credit) to cover any additional drinks if necessary.

Question

Will food be provided?

Answer

We have decided to forgo a traditional sit-down dinner for a more casual experience. Our offerings include a number of options that make it easy to graze and eat at your leisure.
