In January 2019, they were both hired for the Progressive Care Unit at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. They met during the critical care class, where their shared poor vision brought them to sit in the front, near each other. Over time, they would study, celebrate their passing orientation together, assist one another at work, and trauma bond. It wasn't until November 13th, 2021, that their love for football brought them together. In January 2025, they moved in together and now live with two adorable kittens (Yuna & Rikku). On September 7th, 2025, they took a trip to Sedona, Arizona, where Ken asked Kathleen to marry him.
