Travel Note

Getting around Maui

We strongly, strongly recommend renting a car while you are in Maui. Though some websites may suggest public transportation, buses in Maui are very unreliable. Also, rideshare services, such as Uber and Lyft, are not well established on the island (read: extremely $$$). We have planned all wedding activities with your safety in mind and all events involving the consumption of alcoholic beverages will either be walking distance from the hotel or we will provide transportation.

Flight

Kahului International Aiport (OGG)

Please fly into Kahului International Airport (OGG). There are no boats or ferries between islands. Swimming between islands not advised.

Registry

Thank you for your generous gift! If you are opting for a physical gift, please direct it straight to our apartment instead of bringing it to Maui :) Kelsey Naruse & Seung-Hyo Choi 77 7th Avenue Apt 3L New York, NY 10011

FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP for the Welcome Event and book within the room block by May 1, 2025 as the hotel cannot guarantee our discounted group rate after this day.

Question

Do I really need a rental car?

Answer

Yes. Absolutely, yes. The airport taxis and ride shares (Uber, Lyft) are available but extremely expensive. Please do not rely on the Maui Bus if you'd like to arrive anywhere on time. Maui is beautiful but, unfortunately, it is not known for its walkability or robust public transportation.

Question

What do I need to bring?

Answer

Flip flops (aka slippers in Hawaii) Sunscreen (must be reef-safe!) Mosquito repellent Swimsuit Hat High quality sunglasses Hiking shoes Aloha spirit Warm sweater/jacket if you're planning to visit Haleakala

Question

What is the dress code for the ceremony?

Answer

Island chic. We want everyone to relax and enjoy themselves! We do not expect anyone to wear a tuxedo. For men: slacks and closed toe shoes; aloha shirts encouraged. For women: Semi-formal or dressy casual. The venue will be outdoors on a grassy lawn.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to the size of the venue, plus ones are by invitation only. Please reach out to us directly if you have questions.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know ASAP of any dietary restrictions. We will work with the hotel to accommodate as best we can.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony please?

Answer

We ask that people please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We have two professional photographers that will be capturing our special day. We will be happy to share photos with everyone afterwards!
