FAQs

If you have any questions other than what we've listed here, please reach out to our wedding planners, Karen Wilson (540-533-2353) and Bethany Wilson (540-533-3814).
Question

Are children allowed to attend?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event with the exception of immediate family. If you're not sure if your children fall under the "immediate family" category, please refer to your RSVP card. Anyone invited to the wedding will find their name on the card. If you do not see your children's names listed, we encourage you to use this evening as a fun date night out!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear on your RSVP cards. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day. We also understand that it will be hot and we want everyone to be comfortable so we can celebrate throughout the night. Our suggestion for dress code would be dressy/dressy casual! Please keep in mind while planning your outfit and shoes that our ceremony will hopefully be held outside in the grass and our reception will be held in a barn.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are blessed to have pretty much everything we need for this next exciting chapter of our lives. A contribution towards our honeymoon fund instead of a material gift, is much appreciated. The best gift of all, of course, is your presence on our special day!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Because our venue is located on a working farm, most parking will be located in their grass field. Please plan on driving a vehicle/wearing shoes that you will be comfortable driving/walking in, in the grass. While the field is very level, should we have any rain in the days leading up to our special day, it may be wet.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Because we have to turn in final numbers to the caterer and our venue few weeks prior to the wedding, we respectfully ask that you fill out the RSVP card and return it by May 12th!

Question

What food will be served at the wedding?

Answer

Our self-serve buffet will include the following options: gourmet burger bar with condiments, beer-can chicken breast, mac & cheese, roasted red potato, seasonal spring greens salad, caprese platter, watermelon salad, assorted flavors of cupcakes and donuts If you have any special dietary needs, please let us know as soon as possible.

Question

Will there be alcohol at the wedding?

Answer

We will provide beer and wine but no liquor is allowed at our venue. Please be respectful of their policy and responsible while drinking. If you do plan on drinking, please make sure you have a ride or stop drinking early enough to be able to drive yourself. Remember, the alcohol is on us, but the hangover is on you!

Question

Can I take pictures throughout the day?

Answer

While we appreciate you wanting to capture our special day, we do have a few simple requests. We would love for our ceremony to be a phone-free zone. We want to avoid any accidental ringing or alarms during our ceremony and would appreciate if you silence your phones or leave them in your car for the ceremony. The reception would be a better time to take personal photos on your phone. Please remember, when posting any pictures to social media, be sure to tag us and use our hashag: #iWILloveyouMOUR
