There are two airports in the DC area, but DCA (Washington National Airport) will be the closest option to the hotels and venue. The other airport is IAD (Dulles International Airport) and is located about 45 minutes to an hour away.

Things To Do
Old Town Alexandria
Spend a morning or afternoon walking through Old Town! The area is a National Historic District, featuring historic rowhouses, boutiques, restaurants, and art galleries. Plenty of places to find some great coffee, food and drinks!
National Mall
Explore the National Mall and Memorial Parks in DC - from the Washington Monument to the Lincoln Memorial, there are over 100 monuments and memorials to see. A few of our favorites are the MLK Jr. Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and Korean War Veterans Memorial. https://www.nps.gov/nama/index.htm Check out a Smithsonian Museum - admission is free! Arlington National Cemetery
Visit Arlington National Cemetery - we recommend paying for the tram tour ($19.50 or $8.75 for veterans), a live-narrated hop on/hop off tour making 5 stops, including the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier where you can observe the changing of the guard ceremony.

What's the dress code?
Answer
Welcome Event: Casual - come as you are! Reception: Casual Cocktail Attire Casual dresses, jumpsuits, and blouses are welcome! Dress shirts, polos or anything with a collar is great for the gents. The weather in October should be pretty nice, but a jacket could come in handy.

While we'd love to see the little ones, we are only able to invite the children of immediate family to the reception due to space constraints. We're hoping this will be an opportunity to leave the kids at home and let loose!

We do not have a shuttle service arranged, but Uber and Lyft are readily available throughout the area!
