Not at all! You’re welcome to stay anywhere you prefer. However, the Renaissance Resort is offering a discounted group rate for guests who stay at least three nights, and we would really appreciate anyone choosing to stay there and be part of the experience with us. If you do, make sure to use the booking link in the "Travel" section above!
The ceremony is on a private island, and guests will board the boat directly from the lobby of the Renaissance Hotel. The ride takes about 10–15 minutes and boats will be running continuously throughout the event, so you can come and go as needed. There’s no limit on rides, and on wedding day the captains go slow to ensure no one gets wet.
We’ve chosen to do a honeymoon fund instead of traditional gifts, and the link can be found in our registry above. Any contribution is truly appreciated, but absolutely not expected — we know this trip is a big commitment just by being there with us.
Our wedding will be outdoors in Aruba, so plan for warm weather and comfortable, breathable fabrics (linen, cotton, silk chiffon, etc.). We’re going for a bright pastel color palette and a fun, colorful vibe. We kindly ask guests to avoid blues, blacks, and whites, as those are the colors the wedding party will be wearing. For men, linen or lightweight shirts are perfect — jackets are optional, but no shorts please (light pants are totally fine). We’ll be in the sand for parts of the day, so shoes will likely come off and on throughout the event. In the evening it can get a little breezy, so bringing a light layer like a shawl or linen jacket is recommended.
The welcome party will be more casual and relaxed than the wedding day. Think comfy cocktail attire. Men are welcome to wear shorts or pants with a nice shirt. Women can wear light sundresses. Think easy, breezy, and vacation-ready! There is no color palette here. Please avoid white, blacks, creams, and heavy patterns.
