Cody and I initially met at the casino both working as security guards, we had a mutual friend that also worked with us, Tim Eschtruth. I frequently told Tim how I had a “crush” on Cody and we concocted a “double date.” My twin sister (Kelli Daniels,) Tim, Cody, and I went out as a group. We had went to a match of Tim’s (he’s a great MMA and Jujitsu guy) afterwards grabbed some Taco Bell. This is what initially started our friendship. Fast forward, after long Facebook conversations and lots of flirting on the Casino floor, Cody and I had planned a real date, our first date. We went to the Van Gogh exhibit in Grand Rapids, while Cody was looking at the art, I was looking at him, to me he was the best thing there. We went through the exhibit, laid back while watching stars illuminate the building, and then colored a little photo of flowers, joking and laughing throughout the process. It was the moment I knew, I was going to love this man for the rest of my life. While things went quickly, from dating, to having Maximus Lucynski, to being engaged, and soon to be married, the love we have has burned slow, always creeping in on moments that seem insignificant to others, but a lot to us.
