Travel and Things to Do

The Wedding Website of Karen Guzman and Rohan Bilimoria
Hi everyone! We're really looking forward to seeing you in Boracay this November. Here are a few travel tips, but just reach out to us if you have any questions!

Travel Note

Introduction to Boracay

Boracay Island in the Philippines is blessed with a stunning sunset and a long stretch of powdery white sand and crystal clear waters. You'll never run out of exciting things to do on the island, from swimming, island-hopping, diving, snorkeling and parasailing to shopping, clubbing and eating. Click on the "View" button below for a comprehensive travel guide on Boracay.

Travel Note

Hotels in Manila and Boracay

Boracay: The couple will be staying at the Shangri-La Resort & Spa. If you'd like to stay there too, you may book directly with Shangri-La and indicate you are guests of the wedding in order to avail of the discounted wedding rates. Other recommended hotels include the Lind, Movenpick, Crimson, Aqua and District. Manila: We recommend staying in an area called Bonifacio Global City (or BGC). It's a safe and pedestrianised part of town where you can walk around easily and check out shopping, restaurants and bars. We've stayed at the Seda BGC and we liked it. Please click on the Link below for more options.

Important things to check (particularly if you're travelling from overseas): - Please consider taking out international travel insurance - Ensure your passport has a validity of at least 6 months after departure from the Philippines - Travelers must have proof of full vaccination against Covid-19 (e.g. vaccination certificate); if you're not fully vaccinated, please check relevant requirements - Print all relevant documents (e.g. hotel booking, flight tickets, vaccination certificate) - Fill out mandatory immigration and health eTravel form (https://etravel.gov.ph/) (replacing former One Health Pass); this can be done within 72h before arrival or upon arrival at the latest - Please print this too - Note: All travellers transiting to or from Terminal 3 must pass through Immigration and meet all Philippine arrival requirements - Note: Masks are required to be worn in public transportation (including domestic flights) There's a great website called "Boracay Compass" which has heaps of tips and tricks on how to make the most of your trip to Beautiful Boracay. Click on the "View" button below.

Flight

Domestic Airlines and Airports

MANILA has four (4) airport terminals, located in four (4) different locations. These terminals are NOT connected to each other, so please allow sufficient travel time if you need to change terminals: a) Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), also called Terminal 1 b) Centennial Airport, also called NAIA Terminal 2 c) Terminal 3 (NAIA 3) d) Terminal 4 (NAIA 4) Click on the "View" button below for more details.

Flight

Getting In

Check-in Airport Guidelines: 1. Travel light (allowance for your hand carry baggage is 7 kilos only). There will be extra charges for excess baggage. 2. Bring Valid Government ID to present to check-in counter (Passport, SSS, School ID, Senior Citizen ID, etc.) 3. Know your departure time and make allowance for traveling. Check-in counters open 2 hours before the scheduled time of flight departure and strictly close 45 minutes before flight departure. 4. Eat a light meal and hydrate with water before traveling. No food/drink provided for low-cost airlines, and there will be additional charges if you wish to buy during flight. 5. We recommend booking morning flights to and from Boracay to account for any flight delays.

Travel Note

Getting to Boracay

There are 2 airports that service the island of Boracay - (1) Caticlan and (2) Kalibo. Caticlan is much closer, and definitely the one we recommend flying into! Once you arrive at Caticlan Airport, you'll need to take a 10 minute van or tricycle ride to the Jetty Port. From the Jetty Port, all guests need to take a boat to bring them to the island. The normal travel time takes 20 minutes. Certain hotels include complimentary Land & Sea transfer for their guests. Check with your hotel if they can arrange your transfer, and check what's included in your accommodation package when you book your stay. If you'd like to pre-book your transfers, have a look at the South West Tours website by clicking on the "View" button below. If you need help with transfers, please feel free to contact our wedding planner Amanda (E-mail: boracayweddings@yahoo.com; Mobile number: +639175396220 or +639989885962).

There are ATMs on the entire island. Maximum withdrawal at one time is Php10,000 to Php20,000 per day.
