a day to remember

We always laugh about how our dads, with their shared history in construction, were the ones who unknowingly played matchmaker for us. It all started back in 2018, when Kaylee was interning at Forest Specialties. We shared a desk for months, filled with endless conversations and, of course, a lot of flirting. We thought we were being so sneaky, but little did we know, the entire office was enjoying the show every day. After months of flirting, Shaun finally asked Kaylee out shortly after his birthday, and from that moment on, everything just fell into place. Almost 7 years later, we are getting married!

Back in November 2023, right after we celebrated our 6-year anniversary, Kenedy and Kaylee headed to San Diego for their annual girls' weekend, all to celebrate Kenedy's birthday. What Kaylee had no idea about was that Shaun and Kenedy had something big planned—his surprise proposal. Shaun had secretly flown in Saira (one of the bridesmaids) to capture every second of it. After a fun-filled day, Kenedy convinced Kaylee to head to Sunset Cliffs just as the sun was setting. When they got there, Kaylee saw Shaun waiting on the beach, with a ring in his hand and the biggest smile on his face. He pulled it off. Kaylee had ZERO clue Shaun was in San Deigo.
