The Story of Kayleb
The first time we met was when Caleb was just a senior in high school (little baby!), and Kayla was a freshman on the swim team at American University. Caleb was on his recruiting trip, and we were put in the same group to go through the Haunted Forest together, which was an activity we would do for October recruits. Kayla, being from Georgia and living in D.C., loved the idea of a Texas boy joining the team (needed some southern flare on the AU swim team). I guess she did a good job of selling it to him because he almost immediately announced his commitment after the trip! Fast forward a few years of craziness - COVID and all - and Kayla and Caleb stayed friends UNTIL a computer science class made Kayla rethink all of her life decisions. Caleb (a computer science genius) tutored Kayla and stayed patient and supportive as Kayla fought her way through the class (and got an A with all of his help!). Next thing you know, we spent every single day together, and Caleb became an honorary member of Harrison House (where Kayla lived with her besties on the swim team from sophomore through senior year). After a year of distance with Caleb still finishing school at AU and Kayla starting law school at Emory in Atlanta, Caleb moved down to the great city of ATL. Only 6 months later, he proposed on the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, which was always a dream of theirs to climb. Next stop in the Kayleb journey - getting married with all of our loved ones in our favorite place, St. George Island!

Tallahassee is the closest airport to St. George Island. You will still need a car or shuttle because it is about an hour and fifteen minutes from the island. We can help with shuttle options.

This airport is a little further (an hour and forty five minutes) but there could be more flights.

This hotel is in Apalachicola which is where the reception will be. We will have a shuttle going between Apalachicola and St. George Island. Several events will be on the island but Apalachicola can be a good place to stay as well.

Paddy's Raw Bar
We will be having a welcome party at Paddy's but it is a great place to get a good meal and hear some live music.
Blue Parrot Ocean Front Cafe
Blue Parrot is a great place for dinner and it is the only place on the island that is on the beach. There is a great tiki bar there as well.
High Five Dive Bar
This is a fun place to hear live music and have a drink.
