Casual Dinner for Out of Town Guests and Family

6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Casual

We will not be hosting a proper rehearsal dinner, but will have a casual soup and salad gathering with out of town guests and family on Friday evening. We wanted to offer you a place to land once you arrive in Durham and welcome you with a hearty meal. That said, there is no obligation to get to Durham early for this dinner! If you are already in town please stop by. We would love to see you before the wedding on Saturday! You will be receiving an email from Meredith Witten with any further details including parking options as the house is on a busy Blvd.

Wedding Ceremony and Reception

4:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Our wedding will be at our new home, informally called Pine Hill (bird and deer santuary) by previous owners.

The ceremony will be on a slightly sloped backyard. The reception and feasting will follow under a tent and beneath the tree canopy in our yard.

Travel

We recommend flying into the Raleigh-Durham Airport! We also recommend finding a spot to stay in Durham or Chapel Hill. Let us know if you have any questions and we can try to assist with accommodations as we are able. Below are a few options we found for Airbnb's and Hotels in the area.

Hotel

The Durham Hotel

315 East Chapel Hill Street, Durham, NC 27701

The hotel is having a 10 year anniversary sale right now. Heads up that the offer is non-refundable. I used to work here as a Barista so I thought I'd put this mid-century modern stay as an option. They have a wonderful, open foyer with really good food and a special one of a kind coffee soda!

Hotel

Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club

3001 Cameron Boulevard, Durham, NC 27705

My family often stays here as a treat when they visit and because it is not too far from the farm. There is a lovely 3 mile walking trail around the grounds of the Inn and it is on Duke's campus.

Hotel

Residence Inn Chapel Hill

101 Erwin Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27514

Registry

We are joining two households in the coming months and feel grateful for all that we have to make a home. There are a few things that bring us JOY in our daily life together and we welcome you to contribute to these. We are excited about the cultivation of our new garden! This is a gift that continues to give with the bounty of fruit, flowers, and herbs for our community (and of course the birds and the bees, too!). An occasional tradition for us is to sit on the couch with a glass of wine and listen to an entire album. We've selected a handful, but if you have a special one you think we should have, go for it! We will always think of you.

Things To Do

We hope you take some time to explore the area while you are here and if you have time! The Piedmont area of NC is in between the mountains and the sea, but we have our own beautiful trails and bodies of water to explore.
