FAQs

Question

Is there public transport I can depend on whilst traveling to Knysna?

Answer

No there isn't. We would highly recommend renting a car if you want to get around on your own as it does really make life easier. Otherwise you can organise a taxi to and from Knysna from/to George Airport it will cost roughly R750/$50/£30. Taxi company we would recommend: Contact Person Name: Morne Jantjies WhatsApp: +27 73 246 9837 You can also just check on Uber to see if there are any around you.

Question

Do I need cash in South Africa?

Answer

Yes (but only a small amount) - if driving from Cape Town to Knysna and going through the toll gate, you need cash if you don't have a SA bank card. You might also need it for occasional tipping. Otherwise, contactless card payments are accepted at most shops.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, but our reception will be indoors

Question

Can I drive to the venue?

Answer

No. As there is limited parking, taxis will be organised at designated pick up points in Knysna to bring you to the venue. The same taxis will be driving you back to the points at 10:30pm and 12:30am and if you are still dancing around after 12:30am you will need to call your own taxi to come and pick you up.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Men: Jacket and tie (Groomsmen will be in Black Tie) Ladies: Smart and elegant.
