We met on January 21st, 2023 in an assignment for Special Metropolitan Public Witnessing. Although the day was rainy and gloomy we enjoyed the time with our friends. When we talked to each other, our conversation was full of depth and meaning. From a simple conversation, we learned a lot about each other. It was the beginning of where we are now.

Katie: “For me it was until we saw each other again in May 2023. I visited some friends at their convention. I didn’t realize Kevin was there until he approached me at the end of the program. I remember forgetting his name but I knew who he was. We started talking and he definitely impressed me. One of the things I wanted in my future partner was that he helped in the cleaning department and that’s what Kevin was doing. After that I observed him for a while and from a distance, I noticed he was caring, mindful, a great listener, flexible and patient.” Kevin: "Her kindness and empathy. Every time we talked, it was more about how much she cared for her family and friends. How she needed to give them support emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Katie’s focus was always what can I do for others. I love that about her."

We started dating on October 21, 2023.

February 17, 2024.

We don’t have many things in common. It’s been fun seeing how different we are. So when we do find something we both like, it’s exciting! This has help us put the interests of each other before our own.
