It all started at a little bar in the heart of the city. I was out with a group of friends enjoying some drinks and good conversation. As we sat around the high-top table, one of my friends playfully asked, "Who do you think is cute out of the group?" Without hesitation, I pointed to a handsome man I never met across the table. Little did I know that this simple answer would change the course of my life forever. My friend, mischievously, decided to play matchmaker and went to share this information with the man I had chosen. As they chatted, I couldn't help but steal glances in his direction. Before I knew it, the man introduced himself as Jacob, and we hit it off immediately. We talked for hours, sharing stories and laughter as if we had known each other for years. He told me about all his favorite presidents and random historical facts, and I tried to play along conjuring up all my 8th grade history lessons. As the night came to a close, Jacob asked for my number, and we made plans to meet up again soon. From that moment on, our connection only grew stronger, and it became clear that we were meant to be together. Fast forward to today, and here we are, about to stand hand in hand at the altar, ready to commit our lives to each other. I never could have imagined that a simple question at a bar would lead me to my soulmate, but I am eternally grateful that it did. Cheers to love, serendipity, and the power of fate bringing us together. And thank you to our friend, Jefferson, and Thursday night happy hour at the Tobacco Club. With love, K&J
