Is there a dress code?

Our dress code is cocktail casual, which means a slightly elevated version of everyday attire. Think business casual: polished, comfortable, and stylish. While tank tops, flip-flops, and athletic wear are not appropriate, you have plenty of flexibility in your outfit choices. We want you to feel both comfortable and festive, so dress to enjoy the celebration. Feel free to add a touch of personal style—if you want to dress up, go for it!

Our reception will feature a cocktail-style dining experience with passed appetizers and buffet stations, allowing guests to mingle and enjoy a variety of culinary delights throughout the evening.

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

We did not block out rooms, so feel free to book a room where you feel most comfortable. We tried! The only hotels willing to block were too far to make sense.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 3:00PM. Please arrive 15 to 30 minutes before the ceremony to get settled.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, convenient parking is available at multiple locations for our wedding. Guests can park at Tate's venue, the Middletown YMCA, and the Melilli Municipal Parking Lot. We've also arranged a complimentary shuttle service for those parking at the YMCA or municipal lots. Simply look for the shuttle van marked with "Kat & Jon The Wedding Bus" logos to ensure a smooth and easy arrival.

Our ceremony will move indoors at Tate’s.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Sort of… we welcome our nieces and nephews to celebrate with us, as they hold a special place in our hearts. While we've chosen to keep our wedding an intimate gathering, our closest young family members will be joining the festivities.

Where can I smoke or vape?

NOT IN THE BATHROOM. Don’t even try it. There is a large deck attached to the venue and we are right on Harbor Park. Please go outside. Vaping will indeed set off the fire alarms at Tate’s. He, she or they who sets off the alarm pays the fee. Don’t do it!
