Our Love Story
How We Met

We met in the most unexpected place—Las Vegas! We first met in Las Vegas in February 2019. Amid the excitement of the city, we found each other and instantly connected. How lucky! Karsen recalls jokingly telling Eric how nice he was "for an American guy", only to find out he was actually living in Burnaby, BC, only an hour and a bit away from where she was living in Chilliwack, BC at the time. That chance meeting turned into a beautiful journey, and we can't wait to celebrate our love with you.
The Proposal

On a trip to Powell River to celebrate Eric's birthday and our 4 year anniversary, Eric had decided to ask Karsen a question he knew she would never say no to. That question was "do you want to go get pizza and beer?". However, later that evening during a walk along the water Eric got down on one knee and asked a question that was so much more beautiful and through happy tears and a some excited squeals Karsen said "of fricken course!". Now Powell River is added to the list of places that hold a very special spot in our hearts.

Following the ceremony we will be using the grounds for photos with our beloved guests, as well as rolling out some yard games and appies to snack on before heading into the reception area! (all events will happen at the Falls Golf Course)

Are you registered?
Answer
We've been together for more than few, and we don't really need anything new. Yet if a gift is your intention, we thought that we would mention, we'd love some pennies to put together, to save for a honeymoon that we will treasure, but please remember, what means the most, is that you're with us to raise a toast!

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Come in what makes you feel confident! The venue hosts a "pimped out back yard wedding" vibe so we aim to keep it classy and comfortable and would recommend a "dressy casual" or "semi-formal" aesthetic. We know we will certainly be dressed up and feeling fantastic so we hope our guests feel the same in whatever they wear! Please just keep in mind that some of the events of the day will take place on grass so maybe leave the stilettos at home!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
Ceremony start time is 3:30 and we hope to stay on time as much as possible and would recommend arriving around 3pm in order to get a good seat and get in some hugs from those other guest you may not have seen in awhile!

Answer
Appies and dinner will be buffet style and we are hoping everyone can enjoy, however if you have any specific dietary requirements that have made it hard for you to enjoy meals in the past please reach out to us via email (karsen.eric.wedding@gmail.com) prior to the RSVP date (August 10th) to ensure we can contact the venue regarding meal accommodations.

What's the bar service situation?
Answer
Each table setting will have 2 drink tickets, as well as each table will have bottles of wine to share, and a cash/card bar will also be available with a wonderful bartender! We hope to cheers and celebrate on such an exciting day and want to inform our beloved guests that safe rides home are available via Uber and Cheam Taxi in the Chilliwack area, please plan ahead to ensure you get home safe and sound!
