Please RSVP by July 31st, using the link on this website so we can plan accordingly for the full weekend of events. We recommend also booking your rooms as soon as possible after RSVPing so that we can accommodate everyone.

When should I arrive and leave?

We’d love for you to join us for the full wedding weekend—arrive Thursday, November 13th through Sunday morning, November 16th. The festivities kick off Thursday evening with a welcome party to get everyone in vacation mode, followed by our wedding celebration on Friday, and a full Saturday of relaxed fun, connection, and maybe a surprise or two. We'll wrap up with warm goodbyes on Sunday morning, sun-kissed and smiling.

We’re hosting everything at Hotel Esencia, a stunning beachfront property nestled between Tulum and Playa del Carmen in the Riviera Maya. Think vacation-meets-celebration!

Is there a room block?

Answer

We’ve reserved a small block of rooms at our wedding venue, the beautiful Hotel Esencia, so that our guests can relax, celebrate, and spend time together all in one place. All guests are required to book their accommodations onsite, via our room block explicitly. We strongly encourage you to book your room as soon as possible. We’ve reserved a very limited block of rooms at Hotel Esencia at a special rate of 35% off for our guests. Please note there is a 3 night minimum stay for our room block rate. For those wishing to enjoy the area for longer, our room rates are available for 3 nights before and after November 13-16th. This exclusive rate is only available by email. Please send your booking request to: reservations@hotelesencia.com, and copy kambri.preciado@fora.travel. You must explicitly mention our wedding when reserving directly with the hotel. Do not book directly online.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

The wedding event dress code is resort formal. Think elevated, tropical elegance — chic dresses, linen suits, festive colors, and a little bit of glam. You’re dressing for a gorgeous evening under the stars in the lush jungle of Mexico. How do I get to Hotel Esencia from the airport?

Answer

Fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN), which is about 60 minutes from the hotel. We recommend pre-booking private transportation for the smoothest ride. We negotiated have a group rate starting at $100 per way up to 8 people via Cancun Shuttle, which we personally use when visiting as their rates are the best we have found. To book, visit https://www.cancunshuttle.com/ and through it, you can access the different types of vehicle options. Please be sure to use the code: GPMACKSOOD when booking, exactly as shown here. Note that if the code is not entered correctly, the system will not recognize it. Please note that the Cancun airport can be quite chaotic when you first exit the airport. There will be many drivers with signs calling for your attention. Mention the shuttle service name you have booked with and they will help point you in the right direction. Shared shuttles will take longer to arrive because they will have to stop at multiple hotels after waiting longer for multiple guests at the airport before departing. For this reason we recommend booking private transportation.

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes—Mexico requires a valid passport for entry. Please make sure yours is current and won’t expire within 6 months of travel.

Do we need pesos? How is payment handled on the resort for things like the restaurants and spa?

Answer

No need to worry about pesos — USD cash and cards are widely accepted at the resort. If you’re planning to explore off-site before or after the wedding, it can be helpful to have a small amount of pesos or USD cash on hand just in case. We recommend booking your airport transfer in advance so you don’t have to worry about payment on arrival — just have a little cash ready for a small tip.

If you're arriving early or staying longer, there’s plenty to explore! Think cenotes, beach clubs, Mayan ruins, snorkeling, and charming towns like Tulum and Playa del Carmen. We’ll share a few of our favorite spots in case you’re feeling adventurous.

Our registry is featured here, via Zola. We do not expect guests to give us gifts, however we request that those who choose to gift from our registry please select the "ship to couple" option rather than bringing the physical gifts to the wedding for logistical reasons.
