Maid of Honor
I first met the bride at a military base hospital, and we’ve been close ever since. I pray that God blesses the union between Maya and JeMar, and that they continue to grow in Christ and grow together. With love, Sister of the Bride
Best Man
I’ve known JeMar since January 2017. We met during an official visit to Furman University. I’ll never forget the first thing he said to me: “Your feet aren’t like that,” while I was doing a football drill at Dave & Buster’s. In that moment, I knew I had found my quarterback and brother for life. I’m praying for a beautiful and successful marriage, one filled with countless happy moments.
Groomsman
Where do I start? I guess I’ll begin with the first time I met JeMar. We were already competing over who knows more about R&B (and he knows who the king of that is!). Over time, our friendship grew stronger and stronger, grounded in our faith and giving everything to the Lord. I’m so happy for him, and words can’t fully describe what an amazing person he is. He’s never let me down and has always been there for me. Through rain, hail, sleet, or snow, he’s someone you can count on to weather it all!
Bridesmaid
Hi! My name is Eboni, and the beautiful bride is one of my best friends. We met in the 6th grade, but the Lord grew our sweet friendship in the 8th grade! Getting to do life with her has been the wildest ride, and I am so blessed by every adventure and memory. I can’t wait to stand beside her as she marries the man of her prayers. I wish her and JeMar a life FULL of adventure and seeking the Lord every step of the way.
Groomsman
My name is Jaeden Lincoln, and I’m the little brother of the groom. I’m so happy for both Maya and JeMar and can’t wait to see their journey together.
Groomsman
I’ve known these two since my earliest days in Statesboro. They’ve been together so long that they’ve even started to look alike! I always turn to them for advice, and they’ve never steered me in the wrong direction. I wish them the best in their marriage and the enduring friendship they will share for the rest of their lives. I love these two, and I have no doubt that they will become a powerful “one,” united by their faithful backgrounds and strong family morals and values.
Bridesmaid
Through trips and one-on-one hangouts, Maya and I just clicked—we quickly realized how much we’re alike! Maya is so inspiring, and her bold, outspoken faith is what pushed and encouraged me to show my love for God to the world too—I owe that to her! Maya, I am so grateful and honored to be part of this beautiful union. I pray that you and your husband receive every blessing in this new chapter. I’ll always be here for you. Love you, girlie!
Groomsman
JeMar has been a close friend of mine ever since we met as teammates on the Men’s Basketball team at Georgia Southern. From the start, we clicked both as teammates and as friends. I can always count on JeMar for anything that comes up—there’s a reason they call him the “Swiss Army Knife!” Some of my best memories with JeMar are from summertime workouts and hanging out with him and the team. I have no doubt that JeMar and Maya are going to do amazing things together, and I’ll be there to support them every step of the way!
Bridesmaid
Maya and I first met in youth group at Sherwood when we were in middle school. Our friendship began because our parents were friends—so naturally, that meant we would be friends too! Over the years, our friendship grew into endless DIY projects and spontaneous slumber parties. I’m so happy to be part of this new chapter for her as she and JeMar become one. I can’t wait to see their relationship grow both with each other and with the Lord. Love you guys so much! Colossians 3:14
