It all began back in high school. I moved to Fort Wayne from Georgia. I had no friends and was new to the city. Kai was very playful around me or did things that annoyed me. I did not like him at all. I had a crush on somebody at the time. But when school started, I was on the bus and spotted Kai and said, "Come here and sit with me." Just like that, our story began to unravel. He became my friend, then my math teacher (he was a grade younger than me), then my bestfriend, and eventually my forever. I can't wait to say "I do" in front of God, our parents, and our closest friends.
