Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! The dress code for the reception is semi-formal attire. For men, this could mean tuxes and suits. For women, gowns and cocktail dresses are perfect! The sealing ceremony will be Sunday dress attire. Please try to dress within the color theme, as shown at the top of this page (shades of purple, pink, tan). Do not wear anything majority white out of respect for the bride! :)

Who can attend the ceremony?

Answer

Only endowed members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who hold an active temple recommend may attend the sealing ceremony. All others are welcome to wait outside the temple doors to greet the bride and groom following the ceremony. Please arrive around 10:30am for this. We look forward to celebrating with everyone at the reception taking place shortly after!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 10am, but please arrive by 9:30am. The reception starts at 12:30pm, but you can enter the venue as early as 12:15pm.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Plus-ones are welcome to anyone who we've allocated one to. When RSVPing, you will see an option to RSVP a plus-one if we've allocated you one. Please let us know the name of your plus-one once you've RSVP'd them. Otherwise, we ask that you do not bring a plus-one to keep our celebration to close family and friends.

There is free parking onsite at both the ceremony and reception locations!

Yes! Lunch, dessert, and beverages will be served buffet-style for all guests.

Will there be alcohol at the reception?

Answer

We will not be serving alcohol at the reception, and the venue does not allow guests to bring in their own alcohol of any kind!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Connecticut weather in May is typically in the high 60s to low 70s. The reception venue will be indoors, but there is a beautiful garden landscape and pond directly outside the venue (perfect for pictures!).

Are there any travel and hospitality accommodations?

Answer

You will be responsible for your own hospitality and transportation to and from the wedding venues.
