Maid of Honor
Soulmate: a close friend or romantic partner with whom one has a unique deep connection based on mutual understanding and acceptance. Hali and I met 9 years ago in Columbus Georgia at a Bonefish Grill. She had just started working there and I was the person to train her. We instantly clicked. From Bonefish we both started waitressing at Ben’s Chophouse where our friendship grew stronger. I think it was hate of that restaurant that brought our two hearts together. Mother’s Day brunch at Ben’s Chophouse is still an inside joke that we can both belly laugh at. My time in Georgia came to end, but Hali and I kept our relationship growing across the country. Every year we would make a trip to rekindle our friendship, and we ended up finding out how well we traveled together. From Spokane, to Montana, to Colorado and Hawaii. Fast forward to nine years later. Hali now lives here in Spokane right down the street. Now we can pop in for a quick gab and a laugh whenever we feel like it. Having her so close makes my heart feel complete. Although our lives are forever changing, and we keep personally growing, I’m always excited to see where our next adventure will take us.
Bridesmaid
Kelsi and I met about 7 years ago at Clinkerdaggers. We were both pretty new at Clinkerdaggers. The thing with Clinkerdaggers is that everyone who works there, works there for all of eternity. It’s a very cliquey restaurant. I was still new to Clinkerdaggers and just moved back to Spokane so I didn’t have a lot of girlfriends. Us being both new, I thought we could hit it off. I remember she invited a group of people over at her house after work one evening. Kelsi and I really hit it off and drank A LOT of wine. :) typical…. Fast forward to the next shift we work, I’m feeling good about our new friendship. I walk in to the restaurant excited to talk to Kelsi, but she wouldn’t even look at me. I thought she was a total biotch. So finally, we talk and turns out we drank so much wine she was unsure that we made friends that night. We laughed about the situation and after that, we were besties. From traveling together, to late night wine talks, sharing good food, her cooking me the best BLTs, to spending time out in the sunshine. Our bond is something I cherish. I’m so lucky to have her in my corner and her standing beside me on my big day.
Best Man
Shay and I have known each other all of my life, but we have been friends for the last 15 years. Growing up we had our ups and downs but now I can call my brother my best friend. Being that we are both home inspectors (yes he was one first) we talk almost everyday. It’s mostly me calling and bothering him with random inspection things, but what are younger brothers for? The older we have gotten the closer we have become. Whenever I have a question about work, or situation I’m not sure how to deal with, Shay always has the answer. I don’t always listen but maybe I should start. Couldn’t ask for a better man to be my best man.
Groomsman
Trevor and I have been friends since junior high. I remember riding around in his truck and him blowing goose calls non stop. At the time, I couldn’t fathom why anyone or any thing would want to hear that noise. Little did I know 10 years later he would have me hooked on a life long addiction…. goose hunting. Trevor has taught me everything I know about goose hunting. He helped convince me that you can never have too many decoys or blinds. We have been all over the country chasing birds and some of my best memories are those rides in the truck or out to the field. Trevor also spent years convincing me to move to Spokane. Thank god I did or else I wouldn’t have met my bride to be. Thanks Trev!
Officiant
Where to start, Jake and I still to this day don’t know when or how we met. Jake and I caused a lot of headaches and worry for both our parents when we were younger but look, we made it! Jake’s family always treated me like their own and I have many Christmas Day photos to prove it. At one point Jake convinced me to meet him in New Zealand for a year. It was a time in my life when I needed it the most and I can’t thank him enough for all he did for me during that year. We did take a 4 month vacation (very needed) from each other during that year but we can back together at Grasmere lodge and finished the trip strong. Jake has showed such a love for Kadee, not only as my partner but as a friend. This is why we asked him to be the one to marry us. Jake has a way with words so we can’t wait!
