Evergreen Farms is a beautiful outdoor venue, and October in Connecticut is one of our favorite times of year there — with fall foliage, crisp air, and classic New England scenery. Because the celebration takes place on a farm property, some areas may be grassy, uneven, or a little muddy depending on the weather. We recommend choosing footwear that is comfortable for walking on grass and natural paths. Heels can sometimes be tricky on soft ground, so wedges, block heels, boots, or dressy flats may be the easiest option. Evergreen Farms has made a beautiful event space, and the property is level with paths between the ceremony and reception. We can’t wait to celebrate with you and enjoy a perfect fall day together!

Travel

For those travelling by plane - the venue is 1 hour 2 minutes (with no traffic) from Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, CT and 1 hour 15 minutes (with no traffic) from Logan International in Boston, MA. We secured one hotel with a room block, the first on the list. There are many bed and breakfasts, and local places to stay, as well as some brand hotels further down the highway. The other two below are just neat spots according to the community!

Things To Do

Putnam is only about 10 minutes from Dayville, and it's where most restaurants, bars, and coffee shops are clustered. Below are some suggestions! Here are some afternoon activities if you arrive early as well: Scenic Drive on Route 169 – One of Connecticut’s most beautiful fall foliage drives through historic farms and villages. Local Orchards & Farms – Pick apples, grab cider donuts, and explore pumpkin patches around Woodstock and Thompson. Downtown Putnam – Browse antique shops, grab coffee, and enjoy the charm of this classic New England Main Street.
