It’s one of those right place absolutely right time situations!! I had been contracted to work the weekend of The Columbus Pride in Columbus Ohio, we both happened to be attending an event on a gorgeous Sunday evening, an event that was sold out. My friend that contracted me landed me tickets and who can pass up free DRAG!!! My eyes happened to catch a glimpse of what I knew I had been missing my entire life. After walking past Howie and not being an “adventurous“ person, I walked up to him and the rest is gone with the wind. I wish that’s how it all went down. To be honest I thought he was talking about me, so I approached him. We all know I can be a little spicy. When I walked up, obviously filled with aggression, his friend Mariah stepped up and said no, no he was just saying how handsome you are lol! I pulled him by the hand to the bar!! I called my mom the next morning and said I think I found my husband! Me as a person, I’ve always dreamt of getting married, but just never thought it would happen. I sat back and waited in the background patiently for my everything to come. Finally after all these years I have found that special person, the person that was only made for me to love forever -Justin

I just knew it was coming, I felt it about a week prior!! Howie messaged me asking me what my favorite place has been so far exploring Columbus. Me being me quickly responded with my favorite bar, restaurant and ice cream shop. That’s not at all what he meant. He was meaning my favorite attraction/park. I told him the Bicentennial park of Columbus or the Deaf school park. He said that when I came back to Columbus that weekend we would be going for a walk at the Bicentennial park. But again me being me, I was instantly thinking why in the world would we be going on a walk when it’s 100 degrees outside. He than told me that his best friend Mariah would also be joining!! MY EYES LIT UP and I instantly thought hmmm, VIDEOGRAPHER, oh my gosh it’s happening this weekend!! Fast forward to Monday the 21st. We had to run a few errands and I thought we were going to lunch (I was absolutely starving)! We start heading away from downtown and parked. He said Mariah’s almost here!! I knew in a few short minutes my life would be forever changed. As we headed down a steep stairwell, sweating bullets, we reach an underpass more so for shade from the heat. Howie said let’s take some photos and he got behind me! I then felt his hands leave my waist and when I turned around he was down on his right knee professing his love for me!!..... I couldn’t say much of anything aside from “no way, not right now, oh my god are you serious, and then ABSOLUTELY YESSSSS of course!!!! Mariah took us to make our own scent and candle at a candle lab downtown, axe throwing and to dinner. We ended this very special night out celebrating the best way we know how with a queen honey!! I will forever be grateful that you chose me to spend this life with and I just cannot wait to marry you. -Justin
