Arrival & Welcome Dinner

Attire: Semi-formal
1:30 PM: Bus departure from Piazzale Montelungo (in Florence) to Castello la Leccia. This service has been arranged by Ellen & Justin for all wedding guests. Please arrive at the pickup point well ahead of the departure time. P.S. We recommend having lunch beforehand, as the next meal will be the welcome dinner. 2:30 PM: Arrival at the Castle: Check-in begins. Settle into your rooms and take some time to refresh and prepare for the evening's festivities and welcome dinner. 6 PM: Enjoy a welcome drink in the courtyard, followed by a welcome dinner featuring homemade Italian brick oven pizza, handmade right here at the castle. A perfect start to our weekend of celebration!

8:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Breakfast is served (optional). Enjoy at your leisure. 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM: A light lunch will be available for all guests. Feel free to drop in at your convenience during this time. 1:30 PM: All guests are kindly requested to gather on the terrace in preparation for the ceremony. The ceremony will begin at 2 PM.

Attire: Casual / No dress code required
Daytime Schedule: 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Breakfast is served (optional). Enjoy at your leisure. Daytime: Choose your adventure! Opt for a curated gourmet cooking class, local wine tasting, hike around the vineyard, or relax by the pool. 6:30 PM: Bus departure to a local steak restaurant. 7 PM: Dinner kindly hosted by the groom’s parents, Greg & Chris Ihnken.

10:00 AM: Please check out of your rooms by 10AM at the latest, or before breakfast if you prefer. Kindly note that the castle may charge a fee for late check-out. 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Breakfast is served, and time to say goodbye. Departure Times: 8:30 AM: Bus departs for Florence Airport. Please note, this will be the bride’s departure. 11:00 AM: Bus departs for Florence City Centre.

What do I pay for?
Answer
As part of our wedding celebration, we have reserved the beautiful Castello la Leccia exclusively for our wedding party. To ensure your comfort and enjoyment throughout the weekend, there is a cost of €1000 per person. This fee includes three nights' stay at this stunning venue. Activities & Extras: Should you wish to enhance your experience, the castle offers a variety of individual activities or spa treatments. Additionally, any room service or other personal indulgences will be at your own expense.

Can I have a speech?
Answer
We kindly request that all speeches on our wedding day (October 13) be limited to those planned in advance. If you'd like to share a spontaneous toast or speech, you are welcome to do so during our more informal gatherings, such as the welcome dinner or goodbye dinner. Simply raise a glass at any time!

Does it get cold at night?
Answer
While we're expecting warm days in Tuscany, October evenings can get quite chilly. Please remember to pack a WARM jacket for the nights — our dinners will be under the stars, and we want you to be comfortable. Don't worry about matching the dress code; your warmth and happiness come first!
