Travel Note
Click for the Yellow Cab website/app info. We've found Yellow Cab to be a good and less expensive alternative to Uber in Seattle.
The water taxi (click VIEW for schedule) to West Seattle (a 15 minute ride) is a few blocks south of the Market, walking along the waterfront. There are restaurants at the West Seattle dock, a little park, and walking/bike path. Alki beach is about a 2.5 mile walk along a path. Restaurants at the dock: https://marinationmobile.com/ https://www.saltys.com/
>Discovery Park- A beautiful, giant park that borders the water. There are a variety of walks and views. The 2.8 mile loop path is very nice but it can get steep and uneven. For a gorgeous view, park in the South Parking lot and follow the loop path west (entrance by the sign/map).
Chinooks- an old-school restaurant right on the water with a view of many boats
>We have not done this but it looks good-an Ice Cream Cruise! Boat launches near Chinooks restaurant.
Magnolia Village: Saturday Morning Farmer's Market in Magnolia Village 10:00-1:00* on W. McGraw between 32nd & 33rd. Also, the best bakery (Petite Pierre), an awesome bookstore (Magnolia’s Bookstore), and several cool places to eat, get coffee, or have a drink. Please note, the website says the market goes until 2:00 but people start packing up at 1:00.
-Seattle Center will be busy (and blocked off to non-ticket holders) for the Bumbershoot Festival.
Anything goes but we’re thinking somewhere between casual and cocktail wear. If the weather holds, everything will be outside in our backyard. We suggest dressing for a warm afternoon and bringing a sweater for later in the evening. If it rains, we'll move indoors!
Please join us at our house on Friday night for a casual pizza dinner. We’ll close up shop at 9:00 so we can get our beauty sleep before the wedding festivities on Saturday.
It's our wedding day! Please join us at 4:00 for the party where a wedding breaks out! We’ll start with appetizers and a drink, break out the wedding ceremony, followed by dinner and more party!
Brunch! 10:00 come on over! We’ll have bagels and coffee for a light brunch.

Yes! We have a cute but poorly trained dog named Clyde. He will be his best self if he is ignored which will be difficult because he is very cute. But we’ll all be happier for it.
