How did we end up here?

2014

We met at a party. He will say it’s the contrary but there was always an attraction between us. A few months later, after celebrating Joes 21st birthday I found out I was pregnant with our oldest son. It was a complicated situation. Joe moved away and I moved on with my life. We both experienced life in very different ways. I got married and had more kids, Joe traveled and lived adventurously. Eventually my marriage dissolved and In 2020 we both ended up back in South Carolina. As fate would have it Joe decided to reach out to me to meet our son. We were coparents, we were friends, we were family and eventually we were inseparable. The rest is history.

We made it official

2022

In spring of 2022 Joe and I decided to pack up and take a weekend trip to the beach without any of our kids. On this trip Joe and I spend a lot of time together and shared many long conversations about how we envisioned our future. We realized we had similar goals and plans and inevitably decided to move in together shortly after. We have been a family ever since.

The elopement

7.19.23

With 4 kids between the two of us, we decided there was no point in waiting. With nothing but the love in our hearts and a few close family members we got married in our church after bible study.
