Sometimes, love finds you when you least expect it and sends you on the adventure of your life. Johnny’s path was set, immersed in his Doctoral studies in Boston, while Juli was forging a new chapter in her career, representing El Salvador for a project in LA. Johnny was supposed to spend the Summer in Boston but something (or Someone) brought him back to LA, where fate had Juli waiting. The first thing he noticed—her long, beautiful black hair—was just the beginning. A simple ice cream date at the one and only Salt & Straw turned into endless conversations, laughter, and the beautiful realization that we had found in each other what our hearts had been longing for. That summer, our love blossomed, carrying us from LA to El Salvador, where our love deepened and flourished. When you know, you know—and we knew. We went for each other and the rest is history! Now, having joined our lives in civil marriage, we take this next step in holy matrimony, desiring to root our love in God’s grace. Our hearts are full, and we cannot wait to celebrate this sacred moment with you!

Flight
We suggest you book your flight 3 to 4 months in advance. El Salvador International Airport is the best option for this destination, just 30 minutes from San Salvador and 50 minutes from the wedding location.
Travel Note
El Salvador has seen the biggest growth in tourism out of any country in the world during the last five years. The wedding will take place in the Department of La Libertad, which is distinguished by its beautiful beaches, gastronomy, warm weather and is located just 40 minutes from the capital, San Salvador. We recommend staying in La Libertad department, close to the wedding and the popular beaches of "Surf City". If searching in La Libertad, good areas to search are: "El Tunco", "El Sunzal", "San Blas", and "Surf City". San Salvador is also a good option if you would like to experience the city and slightly cooler weather, if you are looking in San Salvador "San Benito" or "Colonia Escalon" are good options. We recommend platforms such as AirB&B and Booking to search for accommodations. You will find affordable accomodations with beautiful beach front views.
Daily maximum temperatures are around 85°F, rarely falling below 80°F.
Although we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you enjoy a night off!
