Wedding Mass

Our wedding attire will be black-tie optional (see FAQs). We will have a Mass, and ask that guests observe a modest attire that is befitting of a church.
Cocktail Hour
5:00 pm
PINE is about a 15 minute drive from the church. There is free parking on site. Please see the travel section for more information about the Light Rail transportation option.

Flight
Charlotte Douglas International Airport CLT
The Charlotte Airport is the largest airport option in the area. It is about 30 minutes from the church and the venue.
Flight
Concord Padgett Regional Airport
This smaller airport provides some lower-cost flight options for those coming from the Northeast or Florida. It is about 20 minutes from the church and venue.
Hotel
UNC Charlotte Marriott Hotel and Conference Center
This hotel is 8 minutes from the church and 15 minutes from the venue. It is also conveniently located right across the street from the JW Clay/UNC Charlotte Light Rail Station. There is also a station (Sugar Creek) right by PINE, the reception venue. Therefore, guests could choose to take advantage of this by using the Light Rail to get to the venue after Mass for the reception, and back to the hotel after the reception. Please note the Light Rail does have a minimal cost to ride.

This hotel is also about 8 minutes from the church and 15 minutes from the venue. It is about half a mile from the nearest Light Rail Station.

What does black tie optional mean?
Answer
Men could choose to wear a formal suit or a tuxedo, and women could choose to wear a longer formal or cocktail dress. We ask that guests attending the Wedding Mass observe a modest attire befitting of a church.
