How We Met
While Alexis was visiting a friend in Uruguay, she was lucky enough to plan a first date in March of 2023 with Matias in Punta Del Este, Uruguay. This date went so well they kept in touch after Alexis departed Uruguay to go back to California. Soon after that, Matias moved to Miami, Florida, and they continued long distance dating in 2023. Alexis moved to Miami in 2024 (with Alexis' dog, Sunny, in tow), and they have made so many wonderful memories since then! Alexis and Matias have been to Golden (CO), San Luis Obispo (CA), Omaha (NE), and Key West (FL) together. They recently went to Uruguay to celebrate the new year with Mati's family and friends. They are looking forward to moving to California in 2026 and attending the Rosalía concert in Las Vegas in 2026. Mientras Alexis visitaba a una amiga en Uruguay, tuvo la suerte de planear una primera cita con Matias en marzo de 2023 en Punta del Este, Uruguay. La cita fue tan bien que siguieron en contacto después de que Alexis regresara a California. Poco después, Matias se mudó a Miami, Florida, y continuaron con una relación a distancia durante 2023. En 2024 Alexis se mudó a Miami (acompañada de su perrita Sunny), y desde entonces han creado muchísimos recuerdos maravillosos. Alexis y Matías han viajado juntos a Colorado, San Luis Obispo, Nebraska, y Key West. Recientemente viajaron a Uruguay para celebrar el Año Nuevo con la familia y amigos de Mati. Esperan con mucha ilusión mudarse a California en 2026 y asistir al concierto de Rosalía en Las Vegas ese mismo año.
The Official Wedding
Alexis and Matias got married on January 17th, 2025 in Miami, Florida at the courthouse! It was a lovely, slightly drizzly day. The party at the Padre Hotel is intended to be the belated reception ceremony so Alexis and Matias' union can be celebrated with a bigger group of family and friends. Alexis y Matías se casaron el 17 de enero de 2025 en Miami, Florida, en la corte. Fue un día hermoso, con una ligera llovizna. La celebración en el Hotel Padre está pensada como la recepción tardía, para que la unión de Alexis y Matias pueda celebrarse con un grupo más grande de familiares y amigos.

There will be a homestyle buffet with dessert afterwards. Habrá un buffet estilo casero con postre después.

The Padre Hotel
This is where we will be hosting the reception party. The Padre Hotel is a beautiful hotel with a lively cocktail bar downstairs and a cozy cafe on the ground floor. We do have a guest block available for this event. The cost is $170/night before taxes. Guests can call the hotel at 661-427-4900 and reference the Sheffield Wedding Group Block and they will receive the rate. They can book through email by emailing javila@thepadrehotel.com. Aquí es donde celebraremos la recepción. El Hotel Padre es un hotel hermoso que cuenta con un animado bar de cócteles en la planta baja y una acogedora cafetería en la planta principal. También tenemos un bloque de habitaciones reservado para este evento. El costo es de $170 por noche, antes de impuestos.
