We first met in 2008 at Eagle Rock High School, Maya as a cheerleader and Juan as a football player. Our first date was a double date, followed by a few more, before we went in different directions. Years later, without realizing it, we were both attending Cal State LA at the same time. Different majors, opposite sides of campus, unknowing that our paths were crossing. In September 2019, we reconnected through social media and soon went on our first official solo date. This time, it felt different. We continued dating, and when the world shut down in March 2020, we chose to build a small, safe bubble together. During this time together, our relationship grew deeper rooted in our love for adventure, trying new things, and experiencing life side by side. We found joy in being silly together, comfort in compassion and empathy, and strength in caring for one another. In May 2023, we bought our first home together. In December 2025, Juan proposed, and with grateful hearts, we said yes to forever. We thank God for the life we are building together and are so excited to celebrate this next chapter with the people we love most. Thank you for being part of our journey!
