It all started on Bumble, September 25th, 2023. Wissam’s profile had none of the “green flags” Joy was searching for: two photos - one was far away and the other one was a look at me I am serious in a suite photo - no bio, and the bold claim “not looking for anything serious.” The only redeeming factor? Hulk. Wissam’s dog, and the star of his one decent picture. Joy thought, “If the dog is this cute, maybe the owner isn’t too bad either…” Fast forward to day two: Wissam insisted they meet right away (clearly ignoring all the rules of modern dating) and suggested a hike in the Chouf with Hulk. Joy, against all logic, agreed. She did what any sensible woman would do before meeting a stranger with a giant beard in the middle of the mountains: shared her live location with Karen (her Maid of Honor), you know, just in case she went missing. What could have been yet another “swipe gone wrong” horror story ended up being the plot twist no one saw coming… and the beginning of their greatest adventure yet.
