Despite both being skeptical of online dating, we each decided to make an account on an Adventist dating site in mid-2025. Providentially, we both found each other's profiles and matched. At that moment, Alina was living in her home country of Russia and Joshua was in the US. The more we talked to each other, the more we found we had in common. We both share a love for the Lord and a desire to serve Him with our lives. We both also enjoy travel, the outdoors, and learning languages, among other things. We even both speak the same languages: English, Russian, and Spanish, which is a huge blessing for an international relationship! Despite being on opposite sides of the world, after several months of dating from a distance we decided to meet up in person. After a few international adventures together, we decided to continue building our relationship in person. For the last several months we have enjoyed spending time together and deepening our relationship while living in Tunisia. In December, we decided to take the next step and get engaged. Now we're busy planning the wedding and looking forward to a future together!
