Though Josh and Shannon weren't childhood friends, they "grew up" together during their early years out of college in the real world. As we all know, the real world brings a new wave of growing up, one they couldn't imagine experiencing without each other. They met at a church in Fort Worth and became fast friends. Countless holidays, birthdays, weddings, and Bible studies passed and they laughed together with their friends alongside them. As the years went on, more hours were spent together, trying new coffees, making new cocktails, sharing new music, and discussing hot takes about the crazy things happening in the world - all in the name of friendship, of course, or so they kept telling people. While Josh remained steady in Fort Worth, Shannon moved to Colombia and explored foreign countries. Relationships began and ended. COVID began and face masks were worn. The two used Facetime and Marco Polo every day to connect with each other. They were just friends though!! Nothing was said about their feelings for one another until mid 2021. But somehow, it still wasn't the right time. So, friends they remained. Fast forward to 2022, Josh had planted roots in Fort Worth and Shannon was coming back to hers. Friends still? Thankfully, yes. But they couldn't help but wonder... what were they looking for in life, if not a best friend who they thought was hot? One they thought was funny and intelligent? One that knew, accepted, and supported them? Had they actually done it? For real this time? They'd spent the bulk of their 20s together, weaved into different roles in each other's lives, and now they found themselves side by side, in the realization of love! They've decided to flirt with each other for the rest of their lives and not deny a thing. They aren't just friends, they're lovers.
