We met the modern "good new fashion way" online lol on a dating website. We chatted online for a while then exchanged numbers. We spent hours on the phone and facetime, Then we finally met up in person and went on our first date. It was a Thai restaurant called spice near union square in the city (Manhattan). Our dinner date went well so we caught a movie after and we just clicked. The rest was history.

On August 13, 2023 we where spending time together I slept in late since we both where off work that day and Jo was making breakfast for us. I woke up and was walking to the bathroom to wash my face and brushed my teeth as usual, but notice a ring on my finger. This was not unusual since I am a girl that wears a lot of rings, but I take all my rings off every night before bed and I did not recognize this ring and it was on my left ring finger omg. I called out to Jo and started walking towards the kitchen and there he was on one knee with candles, red rose petals, and words that spelled out " Marry me?" behind him. I was nervous and excited and said yes instantly and then I said I need to go brush my teeth I got morning breath he said he didn't care and we both laughed lol. Then I Remember telling him years ago that I wanted a proposal like this because we saw it in a Tyler Perry movie "Diary of a Mad Black Women." I though it was so romantic and private just like how I always wanted it to be. I was so happy he remembered what I said about that proposal all those years ago. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you guys this summer in Whiteplains, NY
